The first half of Luke 23:34, the prayer from the cross, is missing from several important early witnesses, and modern critical editions print it inside brackets to mark the doubt. It may be an early tradition added to Luke rather than part of what Luke first wrote. It is printed here, and the doubt is printed with it.
